After reviewing a few sites on the net (bingo and non-bingo related websites) I noticed a common trend on each. The good sites have testimonials on their site. Then I got thinking. (Gasp!) Testimonials are usually one sided and only showcase the best feedback the company has received and never the bad.
For us to improve our community and be at our best at all times to serve you, I believe it’s fair to everyone to hear the truth at all times. I’d like to have a dedicated page on our website that gives you the chance to tell us about how we’ve made you feel as a result of doing business with us. ohhhhhhhhhh stu, what a shame it is that mania has this seriuos problem of site going down frequently, two nights on the trot site went down approximately 12.50 pm, just before big pound game, i, and im sure most players were very frusrated that they couldnt get back in in time for that game. please please dont let this problem spoil this fab site. whilst im sad about this issue i do believe that bingomania is still THE best site ever.

Im sorry Stu but this is not good, it is the only thing that is wrong with this site, the amount of times that it goes down is absolutely dreadful. Unfortunately we have had to restart the servers batty hun - the techs are working hard just now to get it all back again as soon as possible. We know its frustrating and we really are doing our very best.

Once again, my apologies for the downtime. The good news is that we took delivery of our new servers and will have them up and running soon. We’ve done all we can for the moment and have our tech guru’s standing by over the weekend in case they are needed. We hope not, but we can at least be prepared. Have a great weekend all.
Well…..First of all you praise , then you are soooooooooo quick to shoot down. What did you people do before you played online bingo? So, the site has problems as probably do other sites but am sure you could find something to occupy your time until the site is back up and running….make a cuppa perhaps or watch tv or read. The world has not come to an end because this site is having problems. It seems to me from what I have read that the more you are given, the more you want. This site gives out more than most any other bingo sites so be grateful. Chill out, save some money then come back when site is up and spend it and hopefully win.
I’ve been with mania since March 2005. Goes to show that even though this site has some technical issues at present, people stay and or come back again and again cos it’s a great site.
I used to spend all day in chat with the GM’s and roomies (Waves to youall) but just don’t find the time anymore and I miss that
I have won a quite a few biggies (one of which being the highest pjp paid out to date here at mania uk) However I feel even if I didn’t win as much as I have I would still come back as I love the format and all the improvements that have been made over the last 6 months or so.
Mania UK did take a huge step back about a year ago. Giving us less BB’s for chat games, altering chat games so less could be won each game, limiting the ammount that we could win and got rid of two rooms.
Now things have been majorly improving all around and our voices are being heard.
Keep up the great work mania and UPDATE THAT SERVER OF YOURS pmsl

I dont usually comment on the blog , but do read them to see what’s happening in the world of bingo mania.
I like many others get frustrated when the servers go down. Not that this happens but because of the performance you have to go through to get the refund, for purchased tickets.
I also think everyone is entitles to there own opinion wether it be good or bad. This is a free country and it wouldnt do for us to all think the same way. It would make for a boring world wouldnt it.
I am sure you are doing all you can to rectify the problems and i for one are looking forward to the improvements.
Can I also say i think the GM’s are a great bunch, even though i dont always go into the rooms anymore. The reason for this is I was quite offended once on here with certain folks having an opinion on how many tickets I purchased. This again is my personal choice wether i choose to max or not.

I also dont post very often but like to read what others say. I suppose I am very lucky because I have rarely been affected by the site going down. I think mania is great and I have been a member for thousands of years (well maybe thats an exaggeration). The GMs do a wonderful job and the main reason I have always preferred this site is the friendly culture that has always been encouraged. I note iluvreds comments, though and also that on isolated occasions I have had a bit of a problem with the way individual roomies have been treated by others. Sometimes ppl take offence when none is intented and hey, we are all human and can be touchy or grumpy (no pun intended grumps) at times. I hope players will continue to be sensitive to others and keep the friendly atmosphere we all love going and this site will remain my favourite place to unwind.
Well said Grumps. Incog some of us work full time and only have an hour or two to come on here n inwind thats when its frustrating when site goes down. AS for the more we are given the more that we want i am quite offended by that . I always go in chatrooms because i want to chat but i often dont bother with chat games cos I’m 2 busy talking to all the great peeps and GM’s we have on here. So i could win many more BB’s but i dont botgher . I know many oter romies who go in chat but not for bb’s either. AS most roomies will tell u dont win often and i never win big but thats not why I’m here. For a lot of this is a social outlet at te end of a long stressful day . I would be just as frustrsted if I went to my local cinema, pub or restaurant and found they had closed early. Yes there is alife outside online gaming and yes maybe a few of us spend alot of time on here, but that doesnt mean we are sitting at the comp all the time. I totally agree this site gives us more than other site ive have ever played on. I used to review and promote bingo sites so I have played at EVERY site on the net at present and beleive me there isnt one i have found that matches Mania in any way. So it isnt a case of the more we are given the more we want at all, its a case of some us including me DO NOT play anywhere else, so when the site is down, yes we get frustrated. Hey we are human at the end of the day, Im sure incog at some point you have been frustrated at being kicked off.

After reading all this blog, well what can i say, yes the site has had more than it’s fair share of crashing, but at the end of the day Mania is still up and running and by far better than any other site.

Well considering this is a moan blog, its my turn now, I am writing this blog on my old alais why? well because when i changed my name recently i was offended by the meaning, some peeps have no idea what it meant they just went by their dictionary, to make matters worse my daughter and husband was reading the chat at the same time, they felt really offended, yes i joke with peeps and gm’s at times but i think sometimes peeps take it too far, and i dont like the idea of gm’s asking peeps to chat on msn during their chat hour as its very rude to others.

I openly admit I do speak to the GM’s on msn but nothing that interrupts their work in anyway and most of the time its a quick word and back to the room, so I personally can not see the harm, I feel msn aids them in their work with roomies.
As for the meaning of alias in chat no matter what they are, yes if we are not sure what a name means we will search it out on google and if the explanation given isnt correct dont shoot down the roomies, speak to google!

This brings me to one of the points I would like to see changed Stu and that is the constant changing of names.
Now some peeps do it just for a bit of fun cos they like to have us guessing but always tell us in the end. Others do it when they have made a faux pas in room or upset people!!!!!! I think peeps shd register a name and then that is it unless there is a very serious reason why they need to change it.
As regards to the comment about GM’s chatting to peeps on MSN, often when a GM asks me to put my MSN on it is because I have asked about something that I do not want to be discussed in front of other roomies. Plus even if it is for freindly chat as long as the GM’s do their job which they all do brilliantly, then I do not see why you have got a bee in your bonnet about it.
Stu I am so sorry that this seems to have become a slanging match blog and therefore maybe a blog is not a good thing on site.
On a general note Stu the other thing I really don’t like about site is that we cannot get winnings put back on our card. I think that this has gone far enough. Stuart has provided an opportunity for you to air your views about the site and give us positive criticism so that we can improve things for you - not for you to engage in verbal warfare.
I am disappointed that this blog has been turned about in this way and this is where it must stop. All the staff and a great number of roomies have, up until now, been proud of the fact that BingoMania is the friendliest site around. The way that this blog has been hijacked suggests otherwise. Can we all please just show some tolerance for one another and enjoy the bingo.
With that in mind. please restrict your postings in this blog to the matter in hand, ie things that BingoMania can improve on to make the site better for you.

Hiya Stuart, i know your working hard to try and please us all, but i know this issue of withdrawing back onto cards is a hard one, i do know that its ok to put your winning back onto debit card, but hey guys credit card is not the same, as this is no fault of stuart or anyone. Credit cards are just as it say credit, now whilst it is your wish how u spend on it, but paying it back is not 100% up to you how this is done, the current law does not allow any gambling site to payback on credit cards as this is gambling. Maybe stuart u could look into bank account directly for those who use credit cards.
Whilst on this money topic, maybe it may benefit some people to have paypal as an option, just a suggestion though, i dont use paypal, but i am thinking about those who do, maybe this may slove some of the cashout problems.

Oh yes I know mitchmente, I use neteller, but like i said i was thinking of others, there are some out there who find neteller a bit complicated and their process to get verified is somewhat long and time consuming at times, but it was only a suggesstion as quite a few are auction traders/buyers i though it would easier for them as paypal is greatly associated with auctioneers.

i once enquired about paypal being an option and info i got was that Paypal WILLNOT support gaming sites, they currently back only 1 ( pants hehe ) site, believe me i research Paypal roomies as i was ready to propose this as an option to Mania, but when i see the info decided it wasnt gonna happen

Why have we lost an hour of the fixed 75 pots in the pound room on Saturday nites hun ?? We used to have the fixed pots in the pound room every nite and then u took it down to every other nite during the week and Sats and Sundays, and now u have taken it down to just 1 hour of them on a Saturday nite ! Why please ??
Im sure Im not the only one that was unhappy about u taking them down to just every other nite but to take them down to just an hour on Sats is not at all good as far as Im concerned !
There was only 2 serious things that needed to be changed on this site, and they were 1) the server and 2) the way we can withdraw our winnings, and although I can appreciate that u guys are in the middle of getting the server problems rectified, we dont seem to be any nearer to having our withdrawal methods changed, instead u have changed the line up of the fixed pots in the pound room !
Ok, thats my moan for tonite over with lol
So, Stu, can we please have our fixed pots back in the pound room ??
And while Im on the subject of the pound room…………. a while ago I asked u if u could extend the times that the pound room is open and u very kindly said that u were looking into having a trial run to see what the response would be, so are u any nearer to that trial run please hun ??
Also, if u are still gonna look into extending the hours that the room is open, do u think u could extend them after midnite rather than opening the room earlier, or maybe a bit of both please.
Also, when u introduced the max 6 card sessions into the Madhouse u said u were also going to try them in the pound room, but that hasnt materialised as yet, and I did ask u a couple of weeks ago when that was gonna happen but u never replied, so are u still gonna have a go at the max 6 card sessions in the pound room hun please ?

Yet again the site goes down, as grumps says always on big games or fixed pots.
You say you have got new servers, but they only work if you install them, not just sit and look at them. OH works in IT fixes server problems for a multi million pound trading company and the servers can not go down for longer than 15 minutes.
This is a great site when it works.
Well, the site has now been down for 20 mins Stu and still no sign of it coming back !
The last time this happened GM Med explained that u had to reboot the servers, and I accepted that, but Stu please dont insult my intelligence by giving that as the reason this time, and if that is the reason, why have ur techie guys decided to pull the plug and do the reboot during the fixed pots ?? Could it be because the prize money is bigger ??
I hate to think that way of Mania coz it is by far the fairest site around and the most truthful, as far as I know, but when this happens during the fixed pots I have to say it does make me wonder.
The reason I am assuming that this could be due to a reboot is because the whole site has not crashed, just the rooms have disappeared, like before.
Sorry peeps for the moan, but I do think I have a valid point here

Yes the site has crashed but its not because the techs decided to reboot the servers in the middle of fixed pots, bearing in mind the techs are not in the UK.
I have called one of the techs at home and he is curently working on resolving the problem.

Thanks for the info TT, I for one is not blaming anyone, as these things happen, we all know that. But, if something doesn’t work we all tend to scream and shout and want someone to blame. I have recently been playing on a lot of the newer smaller Bingo sites as a mystery shopper and this is by far the best site to play on. Some of them I wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy. I couldn’t wait to lose my money!!!!! (And that is saying something!)
But this site does seem to crash more often than others, and free rolls and party rooms really do not work as everyone is always trying to get on at the same time and the system can not cope with the demand.

Awww i just logged on to play bingo and site is down, mind u gave me a chance to read blog lol. Plzzzzzzzzz eggy stay with us theres no-need for you to look elsewhere hun, mania im sure will resolve this once and for all in the near future, but remeber if site is constantly crashing, maybe it could be down to the problem of too many(well thats good) peeps now playing, its what most of us want, more peeps joining, bigger pots, and lots more fun, so with that in mind maybe yes they need to change servers, one that can handle a big mania society, cause we will get busier and become 1 of the best, nope not 1 of the best but the BEST.

Mania is always plugging their fair play attitude, and rightly so, coz after all they are extremely fair, so how about when the site is back up and running today, Mania re run the Fixed pots, that is only fair dont u think, after all we have missed out on them this morning, so in all fairness we should still be able to play them once the site is back up!
And to be honest, I for one would not get so hacked off when this happens if I thought that the games we have missed out on are going to be played once site is back up, particularly so the fixed pots !

Yes grumps i agree with you there, butttttt if it can be done but then the site will be down even more longer as they would have to re-set all as dont forget the games and times are pre-set, so imagine the xtra work is time consuming, dont get me wrong i totally agree with u, but i’d rather have site up and running asap, i wouldnt want to have to wait. Maybe im wrong omg, but if im right that would be the case.
I agree with you Grumps that we should still be able to play the games ie the fixed pots that we logged on to play, as winning maybe one of those is far more than Mania have paid out in the past, either with free bbs or a free roll that you can’t get in to.
It has been well over an hour now, and as it runs as a 24 hour site, they should have at least one techy on site at all times. Not have to call them out in the middle/early hours of the morning considering the time difference.
It would indeed mean reprogramming the stream for the room but I will see what I can do
