Personally, I’m not a fan of small print and hard to read policies when I shop or join a site online. So here at BingoMania we felt it never would be appropriate to have small print or funny rules on our site either. No Fine Print
There have been numerous debates here at BingoMania HQ between myself and the team about whether we should make it mandatory for our members who win a biggie bingo prize to submit their picture and testimonial.

At the present, we give all of our biggie winners the choice to send in their picture.

We would love to always give you a choice but it seems not many of our members take the extra step to send in a picture and quote after a big win.

Naturally this creates anxiety and suspicion amongst our members when a member wins a big bingo jackpot and we have no picture or testimonial to share with them.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Should we make it mandatory for you to send in a picture and quote on wins over £1,000?

Yer good idea in theory but whereas I submitted a quote when I won £1000 earlier this year I didnt have a photo on the computer to send in with the quote ( and quote dint get printed anyway lol ), and I dont own a scanner so i couldnt even scan a pic onto computer, and Im sure I not the only one who doesnt have a photo scanned onto computer so really I dont think it such a brill idea to make it mandatory to submit a photo along with ur quote when u win big. However I can see the reasoning behind the idea, it would stop peeps thinking that biggie winners are made up !

I agree with Grumps in the reasoning behind the idea but I do not think it should be mandatory.

You will still get the cynics saying things like: that statement is made up, how do we know that pic is for real, they can put any pic on and say it’s that person. See where I am coming from. It’a no win situation.

No matter wot you do you will always get the complaints.

On a personal note - the other half is a terrible photographer so therefore there are no good pics of me that I could send anyway. Unless a pic of me with only half a head would be considered worthy of print. And I’m sure there will be many who will say, yea we don’t want full face lol.

I have to say im in total aggreance with what both Grumps and Janny have stated, esp the part about wheather you give a pic or not there will always be peeps disputing the fact they wheather they are real or not.

I feel it should be left down to choice, myself im not that keen on photos lol although i would give a statement.

    Hi All,

Yes i can see your points totally…lol. Makes alot of sense. It’s really a no win situation. At least with us, you know if we don’t put one up, it’s because a real person said “no”. That makes enough sense to me. :)

I think people should decide as to whether they want their picture published, but if it is a jackpot win then I think they should supply a piccy and story.

    Hi All,
I don’t think that you are allowed legally to make it mandatory with regards to the data protection act. If a person does not give permission to have their pic published, you can’t do it.

I feel that it would be an invasion of privacy and personal choice to include this in the terms and conditions. There are many people who enjoy playing but would not want anyone knowing their personal business.

I could not imagine anyone having to have their piccy displayed in the local bookies as a condition of receiving a payout of their winnings!!

    Just my opinion anyway.
    Good luck all
    Babs xx

it’s nice to see a face to the name regardless of having a big win or not. However some people just don’t like thier picture taken and/or published so it should remain thier choice.

A testimonal of the win however, should be sent out of sheer politeness ;-)
