[update] I should have included the following details: voting will remain open until 5pm on December 31st and the special bingo games will take place in the Madhouse room starting at 9pm on Monday, December 31st. - Stu.
Hi, Maniacs, let’s talk turkey. Or not. In fact, if I ever see another turkey, I will turn it into soup. Which, of course, I won’t be eating.
It’s quieter than a sleeping baby (in swaddling clothes) around here, as most of the Maniacs are off on hols. Yes, I do occasionally let our Maniacs take a break
Before I turned the key on their handcuffs, however, I did make sure your fun would bubble over into the New Year here at BingoMania UK. Yep, we’ve decided to host our regular Friday Bingo Party on New Year’s Eve – Monday, December 31st.

Once more, it’s all down to you, as we don’t like working at this time of year. As we put our feet up and chill some bubbly, just tell us which New Year’s Eve special you’d like us to host for you:
New Year’s Party A
- 6 x £208 Guaranteed Games @ £1/card
- 9 x high £208 and low £28 games @50p/card
- 6 x £2008-£28 Coveralls @ 25p/card
- 3 x Free £28 games
New Year’s Party B
- 12 x £2008-£28 Coveralls @ 25p/card
- 6 x high £208 and low £28 games @50p/card
- 3 x £208 Guaranteed Games @ £1/card
- 3 x Free £28 games
It’s just like a Chinese Banquet! With crispy turkey. So, anyway, happy New Year whatever you’re up to. I’ll be around the blogsphere along with our hard-working GM Team. Thank you for reading and commenting this year. If there’s anything we can do to make the ManiaStu blog even better and bloggier in 2008, just let us know.

Forget Hatton versus Mayweather, this years most fiercely contended championship has been the BingoMania Xmas Name Contest.
With contenders for the crown appearing from all sides, the standard of the entries has been as high as the stakes and judging has caused more headaches than 15 rounds with Tyson. However, like the world championship there has to be winners.
In the category “Spirit of Christmas”, peace on earth stormed home in first place to win £50, 1SilentKnight valiantly charged into second place to win £25 and feliz navidad came a worthy third to win £10.
In the category “Creative/Original”, Granberry Sauce brings home the bacon in first place to win £50, lollyandtheivy came a ‘berry’ close second to win £25 and 3 French Ns ‘Nded’ the contest in third to win £10.
In the category “Most Outrageously Funny”, the judging panel ended up in more stitches than were published in Cross Stitch Monthly this century. The bare-faced cheek of St Nickerless earned her first place to win £50, spankmesanta naughtily took second place to win £25 and skinta claus should now be known as abitlesskinta after coming in third to win £10.
Thanks to everyone that entered this years contest, I only wish that there could have been more winners as the entries really were very good. Big congratulations to the winners, big ice packs and asprins to the judging panel and a very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you.

As some of you may have heard, GM Bill (our GM Team’s Supervisor over on BingoMania.com) suffered a heart attack on Dec. 18th. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. We wish him a super fast recovery and can’t wait to have him back with us!
I’ll keep the community updated on his recovery.
GET WELL SOON BILL!

With the cold weather upon us, some careful thought and planning will help make winter motoring less stressful. So we asked our tame motor technician to give us some tips : )
Some say he takes his coffee with diesel and 2 sugars; and that he spreads Swarfega on his toast for breakfast. All we know is… he’s called The GreaseMonkey.

The Christmas Holidays are my favorite time of the year – a time for friends, family and of course some well deserved time off from work : D
But one part of the Holidays that I dread, is the creative thought process that goes into finding the right gift to show my appreciation to a loved one. And let’s not forget the overcrowded shopping centers.

Over the years, I’ve used online shopping to alleviate the stress of retail shopping during the holidays. But each year, like many folks, I’ve struggled with the gift ideas part. So for this year, I did some poking around the World Wide Web and found several great ideas.
If you want to show your appreciation with a little creativity, then you’ll find these sources helpful.

It’s Christmas party time and we’re getting in on the act with our own fun-filled Bingo Party tonight!
While we had our feet up and guzzled Lindt bunnies, the community helped organize the specials for us. Yup, we reckoned you’d be better at this sort of thing than us and we’re better with the bunnies.
Now, if you can help me choose my Christmas presents too, that’d be just dandy
… I’m only kidding. But if you have gift suggestions, leave me a comment, I’d appreciate it.
