We know that a number of you are experiencing problems with chat freezing, tickets not showing and getting booted and we’ve been looking into it. Our techs and the techs at Parlay (who provide the software) have given the site the thumbs up, from a technical point of view.
So, we’ve been chatting with our counterparts on other sites and they tell us that some of their players are experiencing difficulties too. The collected wisdom of our best technical staff, the techs at Parlay and reports from other sites resulted in the following info which I hope will help a lot of you out.
- AOL has been experiencing a fair amount of problems, as have other ADSL providers. If you have ADSL broadband (you use filters on your line for your phones and don’t have a cable connection) then please get in touch with your ISP. We know that AOL, for example, are giving free time to people having these problems.
- Flash Player has recently been updated. If you don’t have the latest version, try downloading it from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and see if that improves things for you. A number of players have said that that has helped them.
- As always, please remember to frequently clear out your temporary internet files and clear your cookies. Some of the signs that you may need to do this include: certain numbers not being called by the caller even though they are out, the music not being heard and problems with the game playing slowly.
Unfortunately, we can’t find an answer for every single problem that is experienced by players, but hopefully these suggestions will help most of you.

Oks the probs u are having is not MANIA at all its BT, BT are the owners and run and rent ADSL to other companies, eg AOL, Talktalk, sky, 3, orange, tesco etc.. Anyone on VirginMedia which is by cable are NOT having this problem. It is all ADSL lines. u need to get in touch with your ISP and tell em that u play alot of bingo sites and the same thing is happening. as its not just at mania. i have been on alot of bingo sites this week and found peeps complaining about the same as mania.. If this prob was just 1 isp eg AOL and no one else then i would blame AOL but this is a problem with all ADSL lines.
The only way to get this sorted as soon as, is if you send emails to your ISPs. and do send em one. dont say i play at Mania tell em its on all sites that have a chat and use flash player. if u all do that then they will see a trend that there customers are right.. tell em ya friend who is with a different ADSL supplier is having the same probs…
U want this sorting it down to you to get ya isp to start doing somert now…
This problem will not go away if you just moan at mania..
and those who say it dont happen anywhere else, out of 28 bingo sites i been on 21 had the same probs….
Hi. Thanks for this post, did not know that AOL provides with some time for free in case of any above-mentioned problems. I DO NOT keep in mind that it is very important to enable the cookies and get rid og temporary e-files. Thank you for mentioning this. I’ll do it right now to avoid any problems
Well, I dont usually have problems with playing this site but tonight has been a complete farce. I have hardly been able to play at all, and no it is not my temporary internet files, they are empty and no my cookie cache does not need clearing, it is empty. I logged onto 3 other bingo sites and all was fine, no problems at all, I checked with my ISP, Virgin, and all is fine with my connection, so it is this site Im afraid, so I can only assume that the Mania techs are doing some work to the site which is probably what is causing the problems. I was not able to play in chat at all as my chat was coming out a good 10 minutes after I had typed it in, which as u know is completely useless when playing a numbers chat game ! So why are there always problems on this site, its a great site but always so many problems !!!

I can appreciate your frustration but it really isn’t anything to do with the site itself. If there was a problem with the site then it would affect absolutely everyone, not just one or two people.
You were right to check with your ISP, but unless they tested the whole connection route between your home and our server, all they are doing is confirming that your connection to the internet is working. There are many variables along the route and it sounds like you were experiencing a delay somewhere. This could be caused by any piece of equipment that your data passes through and may be something that neither we, nor your ISP, can solve.
To use an analogy, the internet is like a huge road network. Along the route from home to the supermarket there may be roadworks, traffic lights, broken down vehicles, slow-moving or wide loads and all manner of other obstacles. These things are beyond the control of the supermarket in the same way that the route your data takes from you to us is beyond our control.

Thank u Med, I managed a few visits to the supermarket last nite lol but couldnt play in chat. As for tonite, well I am managing to play but I cant play in chat coz it just completely freezes on me, my typing dont come out at all, I dont know what the problem actually is and its rather frustrating coz I hate playing ooc, but thank u for trying to help Med, much appreciated hun x
