Though I’ve only smoked a cigarette on one or two occasions, with disastrous results, I’m aware that many of our members are regular smokers. I would love to hear from you on how the new smoking ban in land based bingo halls has affected you.

Have you stopped going to land based bingo halls since the ban or is not really a big deal for you?

   Im a smoker but the smoking ban hasn’t really affected me bingo coz I simply dont go to the land bingo halls, I much prefer to be in the comfort of my own home and play bingo, hence the reason I play online. Mind u I smoke a lot more while I am sat at me comp playing bingo than what I would if I was at land bingo so maybe this bingo lark isnt very good for me lol

   I personnaly dont often go to land bingo anymore, same reason as grumps, why go out when i can enjoy bingo in the comfort of my own home. If i did still go though the smoking ban wouldnt bother me in the slightest, i could quite happerily go without a cigerette for a couple of hours, its the same when i visit my friends that dont smoke, its out of respect that u dont smoke in their home. its no different to being at work all day and not being able to smoke, at the end of the day its all down to self control, i feel the only place i would miss it is in the pub lol i do like a cigerette when im havin a drink, not that i drink now either pmsl.

   I go to local Bingo now and again an at break time ya should see us all pile outside for smoke pmsl like cattle
   it a daft rule and all gov way of makin more money as places can apply for a smokin license but it very costly, hmmm seee poppy aint as daft as she looks, STu can i have permission to charge roomies for smokin in room pls, nice lil earner that d be hehhehehee

   Saffy bless her sent me a paul mckenna stop smoking cd..the other night i lay in me bed listening to the dulcit tones of paul telling me my unconcious mind would make me stop smoking….after 26 minutes of him….he bloomin scared living daylights outta me counting back from 3 and WIDE AWAKE…i had bobbed off!! He scared me that much i lit a cigarette to calm me down!

   And I still spend a lot less on here than I would at landie, and have more fun too coz can chat to my roomies!

    i much prefer playing on here than going to land bingo so the smoking ban doesnt affect me. the creche that mania provide for our little ones so that we can play here is great. i shut myself in the kitchen with my lappy and cant hear them lol. also at land bingo you cant play bingo first thing when you wake up in the morning, durng the day and after 10pm till whenever you fancy going to bed ( mmmm - think i may have a problem there lol ) plus your hubby dont mind you playing all day cos he thinks its FREE and he believes you. hes just happy he gets to control the tv. pmsl

    i went to land bingo last night for the first time in months and i must say i was so surprised how busy it was. it made me laugh in the intervals because all these people got up with their ciarettes hanging out their mouths and i thought they were all going outside but it turns out that land bingo have made an undercover smoking area outside of the building and have put cashline machines out there too. they also advertise it because when people were winning the caller would announce in the smoking area table so and so had won so all it means is people cant have a cigarette whilst playing 90 ball bingo but they dont lose out on money in the breaks cos you can still smoke and play - a bit cheeky really.
