Hi All, since the MSN Virus has been going around, I thought it would be a perfect time to share with you some additional tips to keep your PC spyware-free and running smoothly.
Hope you find this post helpful and if you have any questions, please leave me a comment below.
1 – Microsoft Windows Security Updates
First order of the day is ensure that your machine whether it be a desktop, laptop, notebook, tablet or even a windows mobile device, is to keep up to date with regular Microsoft Windows security updates. These updates are available on the second Tuesday of every month. By default your machine should be configured to download and install these updates for you. If this is not the case please use the URL shown below and follow the simple instructions.

Once you have all the latest security updates, you’ll want to remove the dreaded spywares on your system – this way, you’ll enjoy faster internet speeds while browsing the web or playing bingo online.
Now, how to get rid of spyware? Plenty applications are available. These are my top picks:
2 - Lavasoft

3 – AVG Anti-Spyware

4 – Super Anti-Spyware Removal

5 – SpyBot Anti-Spyware Removal

These applications are easy to install and use, and require updating from time to time to keep abreast of new evil elements on the World Wide Web.
Last but not least, the IM’s (instant messengers) — please be careful, various nasty viruses are taking advantage of some loop holes in these applications imitating friends in your contact list trying to have you accept files that were not legitimately sent by that person. Please be sure to check who you are receiving files from, type a txt message to verify it was sent by them. Plus make sure your anti –virus software is up to date. This will give you added peace of mind. The internet is an amazing world, please follow these steps to ensure a wonderful and enjoyable experience.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I rarely use my msn (basically my son is ALWAYS signed in and i forget to sign him out!!!) but have heeded the warnings - thanks
These applications are great, although they are useless if we don’t update them regularly. Thanks for sharing this.
